Last update: 10 July 2020
You survived the first day? It's time to prepare for tougher enemies. On this page of our guide, you will find a description of the second day in Minecraft.
After you start day two, it is absolutely necessary that you perform all of the activities of day one, if you have not managed to achieve them. Collect some stone, which becomes cobblestone. Thanks to this, you will be able to craft a better pickaxe (for which you will receive the "Getting an Upgrade" achievement).
You can now craft additional tools like the spade or axe, but you definitely must craft a sword (for the crafting of the sword you will receive the "Time to Strike!" achievement).
Also fit your house with furnace. You can craft it with 8 cobblestones arranged into a square in the Crafting Table. It will allow you to burn materials like iron, roast meat and will provide you with many other useful functions. It also needs a source of fire, for which purpose you may use wood and its products, as well as coal (later into the game you will also be able to use some other objects). after you have crafted furnace, you will receive the "Hot Topic" achievement.
There are two things that you are supposed to do on day two - obtain elements of the armor, in order to ensure more protection and set out to find iron. To craft your first armor, you need to use cow's skin. Find cows, after you have killed some, you should have plenty enough to craft the basic armor (after you have obtained skins, you will receive the "Cow Tipper" achievement. Regardless of the materials used, the recipes for armor elements remain the same as the example in the above screenshot.
Once you have crafted armor, go to find some iron. The easiest way to find it is by exploring caves. The ore that you find needs to a melted in the furnace. You can, then, use the bars that you obtain to build specific objects (swords, armor, buckets etc.).
Now, you are nearly ready to continue playing, without fearing the night, since you are equipped with basic tools and a safe place to stay. Build your own, safe house and go deeper into the caves to collect the necessary materials, and create tools for everyday use.
