Star Wars Jedi Survivor: Can you pet animals? Star Wars Jedi Survivor guide
The release of Star Wars Jedi Survivor is coming soon, so it's time to ask one of the most important questions, will it be possible to stroke animals in the game?
Last update: 21 April 2023
Petting dogs in a somewhat of a staple in today's gaming. Read on if you want to find out if it's possible to pet animals in Jedi Survivor and whether you can finally give it to those super-sweet Boglings.
Petting Boglings?
Of course! In Jedi Survivor, you can pet encountered animals and stroke their feathers, or other fur-like structures. That is of course, if they are friendly.
No - Rancors are still hostile. That was a feat only Grogu could perform.
Although Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order excelled in many fields, there was a somewhat major feature missing. If you remember, on Bogano you could encounter Boglings, small cute furry creatures. Cal managed to catch one of these skittish animals and brought it to the ship. Unfortunately, the main hero couldn't interact with the Bogling.
Animal mounts
Another new feature incoming - aside from petting smaller animals, you'll be able to ride those larger ones as mounts!
You'll get to try out a Chocobo-like ostrich and other strange creatures. However, first, you'll need to approach the animal slowly and try to tame it, either through Force or Cal's personal charm.
Traveling by bird
You'll also use the services of huge birds. Unfortunately, they aren't very friendly and won't like to be touched by you at first.
At the beginning of the game, attempts to tame the bird may end unsuccessfully, with the animal flying off into the distance. Only in the course of the story will traveling by bird be unlocked. In a successful attempt, Cal will grab the bird by the legs and fly along a designated route.
