Finding the entrance to the caves

Phon'Qi Caves is one of the hidden regions on the planet Koboh. Wait with the exploration until you unlock the Force Lift and Force Slam skills along with Merrin's Amulet in the main storyline. The goal of visiting the caves is to acquire the treasure map and, in addition, unlock the trophy It's a Trap. You need to:

1. begin in the Rambler's Reach Outpost region ;
2. move to the neighboring region of the Foothills Falls;
3. reach the abandoned hut - this area is marked in the screenshot.

The path from the Rambler's Reach Outpost to the main part of the Foothills Falls involves the use of a rope - ride it to a higher ledge.

In the new location, Cal can grab onto a relter and fly to a lower shelf with an abandoned hut.

Defeat the enemies in the new location and use the Force pullon the side hatch of the hut, shown in the screenshot. This will unlock the exit to the basement.

In the basement you will meet a T-1N8 droid (you can recruit him to the cantina). Again, use the Force pull - you will unlock a narrow passage, and it leads to the Caves of Phon'Qi.

The main principles of cave exploration

There is a meditation point in one of the initial areas of the caves - activate it in order to easily return to this location later if necessary.

In the caves, you must use several times:

1. Force liftto unveil the passages;
2. Force slamsto break through the floor and to destroy several stationary cannons;
3. Merrin's amulet to penetrate the green laser gates.

During the exploration, you will learn that living mines can destroy blocked passages. You have to use the Force pull on them, reach the barricades and hurl them.

You will also face bosses in the caves:

1. Defeating the new Rancor is completely optional, and you can stay away from the monster's lair.
2. It is required to get rid of 3 mini-bosses - they are Urjef Mekor, Sebb Eshan and Prince Patren. Attack them one at a time, although you can also use areal attacks.

The main purpose of visiting the caves is to reach the terminal with the map upgrade. After it is hacked by BD-1, the game will start marking all undiscovered chests (including very valuable stim tanks) on a holographic map.

You can also optionally complete the exploration of the caves and destroy the barricades behind which previously defeated mini-bosses were hiding.
