Learn to parry
Parrying enemy attacks is the best way to quickly take the initiative. It is worth giving your opponent time to attack so that you can parry it and quickly break through their defenses. If you succeed, the enemy will be vulnerable for a short while.
Avoid red attacks
Some attacks cannot be blocked and parried. They are easy to spot, as the opponent then begins to glow red. This means that the attack is powerful enough to break through your defense. In such situations, you must dodge. If you evade this attack, the opponent will have to recover from the missed attack for a short while.
Scan new enemies and objects
By doing a quick scan, not only will you learn new things about a particular object or enemy, but, on top of that, you will receive a small amount of experience points.
Return to the place of your last death
Each death will reset your previous experience bar to zero. To regain the lost experience, you must go to the place where you died last time or defeat the enemy who killed you. What's more, this will also restore some of your health. The death marker is visible on the map, so you will always know which way to go.
Explore all locations
This way you will very quickly acquire various components such as materials, cosmetic items and even perks. By visiting such places you can also receive a large amount of experience points, or find special locations where you can increase your maximum health or Force level.
Use the hints
Some puzzles can be hard to solve. If you can't solve them, sometimes it's worth using a hint. By talking to BD-1, Cal often comes up with an idea worth listening to. This way you will know right away what you need to do to progress the puzzle.
